Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 September 2026

Project Fermat ("we", "us") is a small volunteer initiative that helps middle school students build a foundation in olympiad mathematics. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to send us. If you email us to volunteer or to get involved, we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, and whatever you include in your message (such as your mathematical background).

This website is a static page. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising trackers, or analytics that identify you personally. Our host may collect standard, aggregated server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability.

How we use it

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties except as needed to operate (for example, our email provider) or where required by law.

Students and minors

Some participants are children. Where a participant is a minor, we expect a parent or guardian to make contact and provide any consent needed. We keep information about students to the minimum required to run the program and do not use it for any other purpose.

Data retention

We keep your information only for as long as it is useful for the initiative, and delete it on request where we are able to.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you have sent us by emailing the contacts below. You can also ask us to stop contacting you at any time.

Changes

We may update this policy as the initiative grows. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
